| How can I open the .sit files, the .hqx or .bin files provided on muchosoft.com ?
You need to use stuffit expander version 5.5 or later, freely downloadable at aladdinsys. |
| I paid for my software and didn't receive my serial (registration) number, who will send it to me and when ?
If You paid for one of our sharewares through kagi, you should have received a payment confirmation, by email. The Kagi confirmation email should contain a Muchosoft part providing you with your serial number or at least with another explanation. If you paid through PayPal, you should receive a paypal confirmation and then a MuchoSoft email with your serial number. |
| I paid for my software and the serial (registration) number sent is not working, what's wrong with that ?
If you bought one of our sharewares, the serial number sent to you has already been tested. If this problem happens, it is probably because you are testing the serial number with the wrong product. Serial numbers are not the same from a product to another. |
| My problem is not listed in the FAQ section, what can I do ?
You should write to our support, it is free for all registered users. Please provide us with the most informations that could help like your Hardware configuration, OS version, Muchosoft software and version, Quicktime version (for MuchoThumbs), special extension if possible and when and how you got an error. We must be able to reproduce your problem, if not it will be very difficult to help you. |
| Each time I try to use one of Muchosoft's programs I get "The program must close due to an error of type 1", what is wrong ?
This error means that you are using a 68K version of the program on a Mac with a PPC processor, please download the appropriate version for your computer. |

| I generated my thumbnails pages with MuchoThumbs, but when uploading to my server to put them online, some links become broken, what am I doing wrong ?
You are doing everything correctly but this appears when some of the images file names do contain some special characters such as ü, ï, ê..., even if your mac do handle that correctly locally , it is not the case of your online server and your online visitors systems, the solution is to remove all the special characters and re-generate the html files. |
| Each time I try to index an image folder with MuchoThumbs, I get the error "An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled, the application must shut down" and the application shuts down, what's going on ?
That means that the program encountred an error that was not handled. This is sometimes due to an incomplete Quicktime installation. Please double check it and verify that its version is 4.1 or higher. If That is not the problem, you should contact our support (see above). You can also check if some of your images are not corrupted. |
